“ButI'll neverforgetwhat hetold me。I'm themostbeautifulin thewholeuniverse。”While I’ve known of his works for a few years now and own a few of his translated works， this is my first dive into Junji Ito’s work and what a first experience it was。 I went in knowing this wasn’t the best he had to offer， but that it was still a great experience and offering into what Ito has to offer。 What truly stuck out to me was the incredible artwork that had me squirming and disguised all at once。 And the master “ButI'll neverforgetwhat hetold me。I'm themostbeautifulin thewholeuniverse。”While I’ve known of his works for a few years now and own a few of his translated works， this is my first dive into Junji Ito’s work and what a first experience it was。 I went in knowing this wasn’t the best he had to offer， but that it was still a great experience and offering into what Ito has to offer。 What truly stuck out to me was the incredible artwork that had me squirming and disguised all at once。 And the masterful way Ito takes the repetition of a sentence to create dread in hearing it ourselves and for the innocent bystanders in this collection。 Overall， a great short read that horrified me to lengths that I am excited to fall into with more and more of Ito’s works。 。。。more

After Gyo， Shivers， Fragments of Horror， Remina and Sensor， this is the 6th Junji Ito's work I read。The plot is probably the most straightforward I've read yet。 There are still lots of questions to answer as it happens in any of his works but there is less space to wonder in here。The plot is bizarre enough as one would expect and the art is as amazing as it in all of his works。I'll still give it a 5 star just because I really enjoyed it for what it is， even though the story itself is much simple After Gyo， Shivers， Fragments of Horror， Remina and Sensor， this is the 6th Junji Ito's work I read。The plot is probably the most straightforward I've read yet。 There are still lots of questions to answer as it happens in any of his works but there is less space to wonder in here。The plot is bizarre enough as one would expect and the art is as amazing as it in all of his works。I'll still give it a 5 star just because I really enjoyed it for what it is， even though the story itself is much simpler than other of his works。 。。。more

Weird and disturbing， yet enjoyable。 While the stories felt a bit repetitive， I truly enjoyed the progression of their journey as siblings and the uncertainty of picking which sibling was manipulating the other。

I thought this was going to be an Ito riff on “Drifting Classroom”， but it wasn’t。 The title lied！ This is basically “Tomie， except gross”， which is fine， just not what I initially expected。 Also I can’t help but feel it was meant to be a longer narrative than just a handful of stories。 Not that there’s much to this beyond the ick-factor， but the ending feels rushed。 Ito’s art is off-putting as always， at least。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 definitely my least favorite so far of all of Ito’s work that i’ve read。 not bad because its short， but it felt like every chapter was a repeat of the previous one。 Yuuma does something horrible， his sister explains to the victims or witnesses why its happening （which is always because of him relationship withe the devil so its pretty much the same explanation over and over again）， and then some more horror ensues。 i LOVE Junji ito’s work， but this one was kind of a flop in my opinion…
